- I canNOT stand pulling apart cotton balls. Eww. I hate the things and if we have to use them in a craft project at school, I make the kids do it. Bleh.
- I also cannot cut into cardboard, mat board or drywall. The blade going through the cardboard or whatever...it makes my teeth itch. Some people don't like fingernails on a chalkboard or scrunching aluminum foil. I can't stand the sound of cutting through certain things. This was a problem when I worked in an art supply store. If someone needed matboard cut, I'd have to go find another employee. And then leave the area while rubbing frantically at my itchy teeth. Really.
- I am not a snuggler at night. This pains Biker Hubby deeply, because he is. I WANT to snuggle in bed, I just can't.
- Sudafed makes me hallucinate. Long story.
- I have never wanted to own an exotic animal as a pet, at least mammalian ones. We have a snake and a lizard at the moment. They make great, fairly low-maintainance pets.
- I love doing laundry but hate putting it away.
- I will go to great pains to keep my feet dry. I really detest walking around in wet shoes.

I can see how the cutting into things is a little hinky. Now that you mention it, I think I'm a little uneasy doing that as well.
I also don't like to hear other people brushing their teeth. It makes my own teeth itch!
I can see how that would be tooth-itch-inducing. Fortunately, most of my friends who know about this just take it in stride. And if we're remodeling, it gets me out of drywall duty for sure.
Not that I make a big deal about it. Nope. Not me.

Just wanted to say that you sound like my sort of parent. I've got 4 boys, and life's interesting and funny. Most of the time. The other times I want to wring their necks. I just take a deep breath and wait till the moment passes....
So far that's worked.

ps. I'm not a bad speller. I'm from Australia, so we spell things the English way. I'm an English teacher, and for the life of me I can't misspell Mum, colour and gnome. I might lose my job.... :)

I am an English major, raised by Anglophile parents. So I have to work to spell words like colour and grey the American way.
Color and gray just don't look right to me. I also use favourite instead of favorite.
So it looks perfect to me!
I'll check out your blog...the kids drive me insane sometimes but I wouldn't trade them for anything. Still, sometimes I look forward to an empty nest with a little bit of anticipation.

I finally did this - back in November, apparently before life became a complete blur. I sympathise with Biker Dad re the snuggling!
